<description>I have read that I must leave the damper open (or partially open) when using gas logs because of CO dangers. My stove is also gas and I am not aware that I am required to have a open damper for it. Why do I need to leave the damper open for my gas logs (and waste all that heat) but not for my gas stove? Thanks for any insight you can offer.
